Dr. Herde joined the Eye Care Center team in 2012. Originally from La Crosse, WI, she graduated magna cum laude from St. Olaf College and received her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry. While in school, Dr. Herde was a member of the Beta-Sigma-Kappa optometric honor society for academic excellence and graduated top ten in her class. During her final year of optometry school, Dr. Herde was privileged to participate in a six-month clinical rotation at the nation’s top eye hospital, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida where she obtained extensive ocular disease training. She is also a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Herde enjoys getting know and understand each individual patient so she can meet their eye care needs. She prides herself in being able to provide care to a wide variety of patients that are in need of; comprehensive eye care, ocular disease management, pediatric care, contact lens fittings, and acute eye problem management and treatment.
In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. She resides with her husband, Michael, their son, and two dogs in Woodbury.
